Hey there, i was wondering if it would be to anyone's interest to setup a teamspeak client for those of us who want to talk live instead of type. Its just a thought, something for the masses here to think on. I know a lot of us are not into talking, but this could help with social interaction for those seeking to develop those skills.

That sounds like a great idea. But, if I could make a suggestion to use Mumble. It's very much set up like teamspeak/ventrillo but it is completely open source so you don't have to worry about licensing fees for a certain number of users. Plus an added feature of mumble is that it has 128 bit encryption.

The server software for the Mumble client is Murmur. I have used Mumble before and it works really nice.

I like the idea and second using an open source program.

Im all for going cheaper/better. Ive only known about ventrilo and teamspeak, but not mumble. <sigh> Should have reworded the question to, "WP online voicechat option, like it or not?" or something along those lines . . .

Aww...I'm sorry Drake! lol Didn't mean to throw you a curveball there. It would be interesting to see if there would be more interest to try and start something or maybe get together sometime online and hammer something out. I brought this up in another thread about voice chatting to help someone with their wit but I don't know what happened there. But that was on Skype.

Anywho....Hopefully we get a few more responses just to see.

Im actually kind of shocked. Looking at the thread right now, 210 views, but only 8 votes . . . come on folks, help us out here. :D This isnt something where is you answer "yes" then you have to use it. THis would be something that could be added to wrong planet to further enhance/share experiences for those on the spectrum, friends of the spectrum, or someone just plain curious about us. Instead of typed words, you would be able to put a real voice to it. Those in control of the site would likely be the ones controlling the chat server, so the same rules would apply.

Heh, we could call it the "Wrong Channel."
