Hello everyone.

My name is Bryan. I'm almost 36 years old. I've always described myself as being just another person from the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, but I'm not just another it seems. I'm gay - which has set me apart from the norm since I was younger. More recently, as in the past week, I received a near confirmed diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome.

I've dealt with so much in my life and never had an answer to exactly why things were so different, why am I so different? I'm almost eager for the final diagnosis so that that question may finally be answered. But, I'm scared as well. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it's how I feel.

I thought I would browse the web and see if there were any web pages that offered accurate information and a strong support system and found my way here.

I hope to communicate with folks here and hopefully get a better grasp on my own situation as well as learning more about others that may be dealing with similar things as I am.

Nice to meet you. And, well...I'm 38, Gay and just got my own diagnosis last month. I know exactly what you are going through. Not specifics but the generalities of course! Welcome and enjoy your stay here. This is a great place to hang out and learn about yourself as well.

I know exactly how you feel. I was very eager and scared at the same time. It was rough and am starting to settle into my new skin and trying to get comfortable with it all. hehe. WrongPlanet is an awesome place for Aspies.
