One man come in the name of love
One man come and go
One man come, he to justify
One man to overthrow

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

One man caught on a barbed wire fence
One man he resist
One man washed on an empty beach.
One man betrayed with a kiss

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

(nobody like you...)

Early morning, April 4
Shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love...

*The bit in the video where it shows a shot of a row of terraced houses in Ireland sums up the whole feeling of that song for me*

WELCOME!

PS - Nobody is cooler than Adam Clayton. The Simpsons episode with U2 in it make him out to be the person you don't want to have a beer with.....I hope he doesn't collect stamps in real-life either. Do you have Joshua Tree? It's the only U2 album I have but I've been told that that's their best anyway.

I got really lucky a few years ago and bought a great seat from a scalper. It was a floor seat about 20 rows back from the stage. It was the Pop-Mart tour, and they had a narrow aisle and a mini-stage in the middle of the floor, and I ended up sitting (well, mostly standing) about 15' away from the band for the entire second act. The ticket was actually quite cheap.

My 4 year old may have AS. But, the more I read - I'm wondering if my husband & myself might have it too. U2 is my spiritual place to go when nothing else works! Thank you Father for the many gifts you have given me! The goal is soul!

Welcome.

I like U2 a lot but mostly their old stuff. Boy and War are my favorites by them. The Edge's guitar sound is big influence of mine.

Love both albums. Don't forget to mention October. <3

TheHouseHoldCat, this thread is old, but there's another thread if you want to discuss U2 in the art, music, and writing forum.
