There's always room, just need to find the right place :) A lot of what you say fits me too. I'm a lot happier now that I don't socialize unless I feel like it / have a good reason to do it.

thanks everyone for a warm welcome!

to answer some questions here:

tim_tex, i do have a low-grade fascination with architecture. i find myself staring at certain buildings or structures at times. however, i was referring to natural landscapes in particular mostly. i'm intensely interested in mountains scenes and forests in particular. i dream of them quite often.

cmate, i actually tried to post the link to the quiz but the forum requires that i make at least 5 posts before i'm allowed to include hyperlinks. i found it searching for an asperger's quiz on google. after 3 more posts, i'll gladly link you :)

radiohead234, nice to see a fellow radiohead fan here :) i enjoy talking about science- particularly astronomy or biology related topics, politics, religion, sex, drugs, gun laws, euthanasia, prostitution, abortions, philosophy, psychology, the human body in general, war, death, disease, birth...you name it. the more extreme the better. i like to have unique and memorable conversations. i'm a big fan of heated debates to say the least.

I'm new here (NT) and I just came across your post. And I think you sound cool to me. But then again, I've always felt different, too. I just struggle to fit in and think I manage most of the time. I think that eveyone feels that way to some degree.

Me? I crave intellectual stimulation too. I agree with your comments about main stream apathy. Scary really. I'd be a professiona student if I could be.

Hope wherever you are, you are enjoying your summer break and getting yourself to the mountains.

Oh, and I used to write for an architecture magazine. I find it fairly interesting myself.
