Hello! I am new to this site. I have posted in the Parents Forum. My son is almost 18 and I did not know he had AS, until a good friend told me about AS and thought I should check into it...everything that is pretty much mentioned about the signs of AS is my Daniel!! ! I really wish I knew about this along time ago. I believe this site will help him alot also. Everyone here seems so great.
Two years ago I took him to a Psychologist...and i mentioned that I thought he had Aspergers. The second time Daniel went to the appointment the Dr. came out and told me he did not have it. If you knew Daniel...you would say ...he has AS. Debby, the friend that mentioned AS to me for Daniel told me that since she had worked w/ doctors..most of them do not like anyone to diagnose their patient, and that is why he told me Daniel did not have it. Anywhos, I am now reading up on aspergers to help him..I guess w/out a dr's help! Any suggestions would be great. Thank you so much!
