Hi there
I am the neurotypical mother of a daughter diagnosed with high functioning Asperger's at age 19 by Southampton University unit. I have been following Wrong Planet on Twitter and thought I should join as I see comments that I could offer help with and no doubt find stuff helpful to me. My daughter is 21 this year. She lives with her boyfriend, is working and learning to drive- all things at one time I worried she would not be able to do. I think it's fantastic this place exists. I have worked hard to support my daughter to reach some degree of independance. Now I just hope she can one day get long-term work that she is qualified to do.
