Hello all,
Introductions are something I fall far from innately gifted in creating, so bear with me as I make this attempt.
Where to begin? My name is Cara, and I’m pretty much a nerdy high school student. I have been browsing through this website for some time now. Skimming various topics of interest and what not. The decision to join was a recent one, in the hopes that I can gather answers to any questions I may come up with in the near future; and just as a reminder that I’m not as alone as I believe myself to be. Diagnosed with AS at the age of eight, I have only started to accept such. Spending years in between trying to convince myself I was the same as everyone else. When, clearly, I was/still am a bit different in comparison. Luckily, I have chosen to embrace these differences. Rather than shoving them away as I would in the past. This has made life a little easier.
Well, enough of that.
I am a history buff of sorts. Especially with anything pertaining to Russia or World War II. Writing is a passion of mine, as is drawing. I also enjoy robotics, though I wish more women/girls could share that opinion. Ever since the new feature film, I have gotten quite into the Star Trek franchise, mainly TOS. Apparently to the extent that many of my friends refer to me as ‘Spock’ on occasion. If he were not such a remarkable character, then I would most likely detest the name.
That’s about it for me, I apologize for the length. ^^"
