Hello. Just joined. Was diagnosed ages ago with "atypical autism" but have found I can also relate to a lot of aspies I've met since they put that one on the books as well. But for those of you diagnosed with the Asperger's... do you also like looking at spinning tops, gyroscopes and things like that? Curious. Nice to meet you. :D

PS Oh I see there's a poll, so I'll do that too about it.

Welcome to the Wrong Planet forums, Ib. I picked "Yes, I like them very much" on your poll.

Spinning is okay... flashing or blinking and spinning, no thanks. Slowly spinning - like a mobile - is great. Washers and dryers (the side loading kind with a glass door) are good too.

Hi Ib, I was always spinning things or myself as a child, I would hang off of merry go rounds watching the world
go by, I would also spin myself till I got so dizzy I would fall down and laugh hysterically, that was great fun

Hello. I picked I like them very much. I especially like fans and have several.

Unfortunately, I voted before I read your post, and I have autism, instead of Asperger's.

Sorry about that, and did not mean to throw your poll off..

Same here, Oren, so it didn't throw my poll off at all! I don't think they were diagnosing people with Asperger's until fairly recently though, so I'm not entirely sure about all the differences. That's why I'm curious.

Besides, I (irrationally) like it that the twirly things are winning. :)

I don't really care about them.
