I can never understand why you'd want to hang in meathooks, but whatever floats your boat...
That you do it inside shows that you're not trying to show off, at least, which is good.

On the other hand I could never understand why anyone would have to quit a job because they had a piercing.
Unless you work in a dangerous environment, in what way does a piercing interfer with your work?
You're providing a service and get money for it. How you look doesn't matter.
