I like a bunch of random series of animes and mangas that have good plots &/or are funny.

Junjou Romantica
Clover
Durarara

Love it

Current favourite Karas (both parts)
Have an Anime Metropolis (loosely based on the Fritz Lang film) which is mind-blowing!
But it is all fab!
There are good reasons for liking Anime mostly the characters are easy to identify and I love artwork the stories are well told and can make me laugh or cry.
Have to mention Ghost in the Shell, The entire output of Studio Ghibli, Otogi Zoshi to name a few favourites more

I thoroughly enjoy 70's anime. Almost as much as much as I enjoy 80's movies.

I enjoy it to some extent, I'm certainly not an otaku, though.

I guess I like it for the sheer creative outrageousness that the medium can get away with; stuff not even western animation can really seem to pull off without seeming stupid.
