Hi!

I am the mother of a 15 year old son named Khalil who was diagnosed with PPD-NOS at 3 years of age. He has had two evaluations since and was identified as Learning Disabled and Asperger-like. He was born at 29 weeks at 1 pound, 13 ounces and so is my miracle. His general attitude toward us is very uncaring most of the time unless we are doing and giving him what he wants. He tests at above-age in his school subjects but maintains a D average right now in most classes. His hygiene is horrible. Things are not the greatest with him right now. We are looking into nutrition and sensory integration therapy as a possibility and have added a regimen of supplements (fish oil, multivitamin, DMAE from the nutritionist, generic Prozac from the psychiatrist) along with counseling. It is frustrating and tiring and I continue to look for help for our family. Thanks for 'listening' and I look forward to being a part of this community.
