Hi everyone,
a recent magazine article on autism prompted me to check the matter out on Wikipedia and... here I am ! I love the name of this place & am looking forward to getting in contact with other ETs from all around this [wrong] planet. Although I can't figure exactly what "hell" is, I wouldn't say I've experienced it onboard Earth circling around the Sun (53 laps by now). I've indeed experienced misery because of my being "different", but that was still bearable (I did play russian roulette with cars & planes in my younger years though). However the really frustrating aspect of the "problem" has always been not being able to communicate with at least one other person like me.
I tried the test on this page : http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.12/aqtest.html and it gave me a score of 33. What does that mean ? Unlike some people here I don't really wish to be "diagnosed" as belonging to a particular "syndrome" because these imply "pathology". If being an "alien" does involve suffering (pathos), there doesn't seem to be a pathology in the usual medical acception of this word : aliens experience the same kind of suffering as fish taken out of water !
Instead of trying to find a "cure" for a non-existant pathology, I think it would be much more effective to design & build "earthsuits" (like a divingsuit or a cosmonaut's spacesuit) in order to be able to live relatively comfy on Earth & to relate harmoniously with the dominant endemic species of this planet (they call themselves "homo sapiens" although they're far from from being as wise as they like to think they are).
Well, good night (or good day for those on the other side of the ball) !
