My official diagnosis is schizoid personality disorder, but I suspect that asperger is a better fit. (For different reasons. I'm bad at eye contact and body language, which isn't a schizoid trait. Schizoids are supposed to be able to pass for normal when they bother trying, but I'm socially clumsy at the best of times. I've always had the special interests/obsessions that go with AS. Add to that a history of being very smart and different as a kid, years of bullying, depression and social anxiety, and a tendency to over-analyze everything all the time). At least I recognize myself in a lot of the posts that people make here.
I'm in my 40s, married (for now....) and I've never had a job that I couldn't do at home.
