Hey. I'm not sure if I have aspergers or not, but if not, I'm at the very least a borderline case. When I first read about aspergers at the beginning of the year I was so overwhelmed with emotion I couldn't work for about 2 weeks. How could I have lived for 36yrs and never known about this! I've been reading through the forums over the past few days and there's so many things I want to say, but for now I will just say this... its nice to finally arrive on the right planet.

There is a good reason why you didn't hear about AS many years ago, it is because eventho Asperger described it in the 1940s, it was not generally known and it became a standard diagnosis only in the 1990s.

I also learned about AS only very recently, and I am pretty sure my stepson has AS. I am still debating whether or not I should talk about it with my husband (because I am not sure how he will react).

Here you have found a great place to share your experiences and discuss with others.
