I contacted a local AS support group and emailed the leader for a recommendation. He referred me to a clinical psychologist who specializes in adult female diagnoses. Then I called her, checked to see if she took my insurance (she did) and set up an appointment. I hope that helps!

Hello and welcome to WrongPlanet zweisamkeit :)

I suggest the tests on this page to get you started, its not a diagnosis of course, but it can help you figure out if you are on the autism spectrum http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt113459.html

Nice to meet you, zweisamkeit - and welcome aboard the Wrong Planet. One way to seek information about a diagnosis is to check with the "Mental Health Services" nearest you. Their offices can be found in the government pages of the phone book under "County Government." If your "Mental Health Services" doesn't have a therapist who's experienced with AS in adults, perhaps they'll be able to give you a referral to a therapist who is. All the WP best to you!
