I'm a ten year old male techie from England with Asperger's.

I was diagnosed at middle school, I don't know the specifics and I left school a while after to be unschooled (school really doesn't work for me).

If I say I'm going to leave, ignore me. Trust me on this one, I'll be back tomorrow. If a mod or admin spots any rage-induced leaving posts, please delete them. I'll try not to make that happen in the first place, though.

I like stuff. Sometimes I do stuff.

Hahaha... I like stuff too.

I've heard unschooling really seems to work. Good luck with that.

As far as rash behavior goes, it seems to be the way some people here behave all the time. But there are plenty more who aren't like that.

Unschool. oooh. Unschool me too please! Its been 16 years and i STILL hate school. The local supermarket does this school donation thing were they contribute a portion of the profit from your purchase to the school of your choice. I always tell them "no school" or "i still hate school".

It has its (English paranoia moment: I don't think an apostraphe is used in this situation but if I'm wrong, please correct me) downsides. Being called a "dropout", yay fun. Though I doubt the IQ of most people my age, because apparently "no school" means "no job".

Welcome. I think the school thing must not have worked for a lot of us. When I was about your age, for a while I just stopped showing up and my mother let me. Of course later I was forced to go.
