Sorry if this seems like an explosion of randomness. I feel like my writing here is forced because I'm making myself do an introduction (usually when I'm on a forum I just lurk)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
In the third grade I was diagnosed with a form of social anxiety called "selective mutism", I have a lot of trouble making eye contact (and honestly, I didn't realize until recently that eye contact was normal)
If I remember correctly I first heard about Asperger's syndrome on an episode of House, M.D. and I got curious about it because the symptoms sounded familiar.
I have my doubts as to weather or not I have it for several reasons, but I do have a lot of the same characteristics that Aspies do.
It wasn't until a few months ago when I picked up John Elder Robison's Look Me In the Eye that I realized just how much of the same characteristics I have.
The laser-like focus on detail. The interest in machines and how they work. The ridiculously good, accurate memory.
Anyway, once again, I feel like this introduction is forced and that I just put up a bunch of random sentences up here. Uh, I guess I'll see where this goes.
