Hey! I'm Katt! I'm 18 (as of Septemer 1st). I don't know really what to say about me except that I love CSI and I want to work in Forensic Science of some sort. My top coice would be Medical Examiner/Coroner.

I love to write short stories and if I can finish one I'll post it. I wouldn't count on me being abitious enough to finish any though, I'm working on 5 right now.

I like art and drawing random pictures (usually on my homework). My next project is going to be a collage of pictures from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Anyway, I have to go feed my Sims.

Ta ta!

Welcome!

Real forensics is nothing like they show on CSI though, I've heard from people that alot of people want to do it after seeing the show.

I was interested in science for several years before seeing CSI. It's mostly based on facts, but they do have to alter physics sometimes to fit the plot, which I think is understandable. Alot of the info can be useful though (and it helps me memorize my chemical compounds :D ).

I watch Forensic Files alot too. Great stuff.

I've always enjoyed watching real life mysteries being unravelled using forensics, and read about it alot, I find it extremely interesting, too. CSI is an enjoyable show to watch, I don't know if it's on here anymore though.

Does that mean you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes or the Scottish doctor he was based on? He supposedly solved crimes in real life and was one of the first if not the first to use forensic methods to do it.

Welcome. I love watching CSI and that type of show but mainly like the medical version types like "Medical Investigation" and "House" and those programs that solve medical mysteries on Discovery Health channel. :)

I actually haven't read any Sherlock Holmes or anything, but I want to if I have time (during the summer). If nothing else I like his hat. :D

I really like CSI. It has been on Irish television for a while now, recently they have started to show CSI:Miami but I haven't watched any episodes of this series yet.

The hat wasn't actually in the stories... only in the pictures, and the films. Sorry to disillusion you .

I think it was Dr. John Bell who taught Sir Arthur Connan Doyle at the University of Edinburgh. I know the real Sherlock did live and teach in Edinburgh and used forensic techniques to solve difficult crimes. And I have always heard that a Prof. that Doyle studied under was the inspiration for Sherlock. One class the prof. made a whole list of correct conclusions about a cadaever and impressed the young author.

No. I think it was Joseph Bell that sounds more like it.

On CSI next week they have a murder that somehow involves Sherlock Holmes. Just thought I'd share.

Hi Katt,

Welcome to the boards. I don't watch CSI, but my mom loves the show. Pirates of the Carribean is a great movie.
