Greetings to all
In the shadowy realms of the Wrong Planet I go by the pseudonym of photomaniac89. In reality the name I answer to is Mark Farnik. My physical age is 16, but my intellectual age is immensely greater than my physical age would suggest.
My physical characteristics consist of the follwing:
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 140 pounds (I prefer the term 'lean' to the much overused and trite 'skinny')
Waist: 30 inches
Hair: Dark chocolate with slight auburn highlights
Eyes: Dirty moss (Hazel brown flecked with olive green; I've been told by everyone that they are quite intense)
I will be a junior at Fort Morgan High School, but I will be on the Fastrack program, which means that I will take all my courses at the local community college (I am the first student in the county to ever have done this program, so I'm a trendsetter). Makes me quite glad, actually, since I'll be able to escape the 24/7 high school soap opera, the stars of which are my graduating class, overly dramatic, cruel, shallow, ignorant fools with a miniscule vocabulary and an attitude problem. They won't be able to laugh at me when I'm class valedictorian, he he he. My primary interest, as my nickname suggests, is photography. I plan to make a career of it, and have already won several awards at the local level for my photography. I also own my own photography buisness as well.
I am an intellectual, but suprisingly enough I mesh well with the majority of the social circles at my school. I can hang out with my gang banger acquaintances one minute and be chatting with the exclusive preppies the next. I am quite strong academically, with my best subjects being English, Geography and Science. Math is my Achille's heel by far.
Athletics have been something I've never been terribly good at or interested in. Despite this I am in excellent shape.
Other significant interests of mine include writing (my eventual ambition is for a dual career of world famous photographer/horror writer on the recognition scale of Stephen King), geology( I am a rockhound), geography (I have a veritable encyclopedia in my head in regards to this subject), meteorology (I am a storm spotter/watcher and make my own forecasts for fun from time to time), interior and exterior design (the whole 'thinking in pictures' coming into play in terms of visualization) antiques (I will lower myself to using a cliche here only because it is true: "They don't make (insert any object) like they used to."), drama (I'm a good actor/dramatist and have a talent for doing a variety of vastly different voices with ease) and music (I play the baritone and the piano, compose songs and improvise on the piano, want to learn guitar, and I can sing pretty damned well according to friends, family and vocal teachers).
Well that's enough of my rambling for now; I think I've overintroduced myself, but ce' la vie (French for "that is life").
I look forward with the utmost sincerity to get to know all of you better in times which will come to pass.
Farewell for the time being, fellow Aspies.
Mark W. Farnik
