How do you other guys deal with holidays? I think I hate them, because I hate being around so many people!

In the know for New Years topic

I am alone on New Year's Eve!. at this moment there is fifteen minytes left in the old year. happy 2011, and I mean it.

I am OK with most holidays. Except New Year's. I never go to parties, but I am not uncomfortable being around a lot of people. What I don't like about New Year's Eve is people make such a big deal about it. Sure, throw a small party, that's fair. However, some people have parties that run until 6:00 in the morning! Seriously? It's been the New Year for 6 hours!

Most people who don't go out, watch movies. This year? No. A band that my parents and I like is going to be on TV. I HATE watching this band on TV! I like them, but watching them on TV doesn't excite me all that much. I don't like having to sit through the commercials and it's just annoying for a reason that I can't identify.

I have some nice chips, a good selection of logic puzzles, a movie, and bottle of whatever, and a nice window looking out over the fireworks. If I get lonely, I can talk with my pets. This is a good way to deal with it. I wouldn't know what to do at a party anyway.

This year I just stayed at home and watched TV.

But on the positive side: every 2nd house was launching some sort of projectile, whether it be a firework or a small rocket :-p

You can solve logic puzzles while watching movies and drinking bottles of whatever? That's awesome! Do you take requests? Discover why evil exists for humankind while watching Dark Crystal and drinking absinthe.

(It's new years morn and I'm dunk as "i'llgetout" ... go figure)

Being around so many people on New Year's? Well, I have no idea how everyone else does it, but all I've ever done on New Year's is sit at home with my parents and my brother watching TV.

I have a nice dinner at my clubhouse and than I keep to myself in my apartment and listen to my music until Midnight on a low volume. I wish everybody on WP a Happy New Year and quietly get myself to bed.
