I found this website after searching for a quote that I heard my acting teacher say one day in class...
"being insane is only a sane man's reaction to an insane world" (something along these lines)

Somehow I got here.

I was diagnosed with aspergers when I was 12 I think. Hard for me to remember. I had been a problem child most of my life. Mostly because I was wondering wtf are these people doing. I had lots of trouble with communication. Telling lies and stuff. They said I could only see in "black and white" and that I "saw no grey areas".

Well I got really good at blending in. So good in fact that my current friends do not even know I have aspergers. I told my one friend (who doesn't know my closer friends) that I have it and she could hardly believe. but that is probably because she regularly hangs out with druggies.
the fact is, I can understand what "normal people" mean now. But most of the time I don't even try to act like them.
But it is kinda hard. Because I do like talking to people. But if I be myself and don't tell them then they don't talk to me. I kinda need people to talk to me. I don't know about the rest of you.

I haven't even known another person with aspergers. It might make things easier. Which is why I believe joining this forum is a good idea.
