Hi, I just joined, but have been reading some of the post for the last couple of weeks. I'm in the process of having my son get diagnosed. I have seen several post about emotional and pysciatric characteristics, which describe my son. But I was wondering what physical characteristics you have experienced. For example, my son from the time he was a pre-schooler has been very low energy, some of his teachers described him as listless or lethargic, but there seems to be no medical reason for him to be tired. He still complains of being exhasted all he time. He's also very thin and has never been very strong. He has very little muscle tone. He seems to have no appetite. He is about 5'10" and only weighs 110. And he's always been uncoordinated. He was in a special phys. ed class in elementary school. He is now 21 and his handwriting still looks like a 1st graders. I would like to know if any of you have the same kind of things going on. Thanks

Jeannie you might want to post this topic to the parents discussion forum.. it does help to check them out there also.

Jeannie

You might want to look at Donna Williams articles about food.

There are many links with Aspergers/Autism and genetic digestive problems and allergies.

These things might not be obvious to your average doctor unless you ask the right questions, or try dietary changes to see if any of it helps.

Jeanie:
Tell me some good things about him.
Like (and this is me) My son is 17, can't get along with anyone, inspired brilliant musician (not just my opinion), smart as a tack, pain in the neck, you know, not just the things that worry you. Your own sanity will improve when you read it back. There's a reason my nick name is beentheredonethat.
