Hey everyone,
Know me as just Julz, shortened variant of Julia. I'm 18 years old and a student at the Central Institute of Technology in Perth, Western Australia. I'm currently doing a Diploma in Music (Contemporary Performance) there. I got diagnosed with Atypical Asperger Syndrome two years ago when I was 17, on the week of my graduation from school.
I also got diagnosed with an Intermittent Explosive Disorder - just look that up on Wikipedia because I really don't want to explain it every single time I mention it -_-. I aspire to be a professional musician in Perth and overall in Australia. I don't care if I'm not famous; so long as music is involved in my life and I'm doing what I want to I'm good.
Being an Aspergian, I do have few interests but unlike most, they are not narrow interests like plane flight numbers or the like. No, they are Nintendo and music, both of which are wide around the world. The video gaming community is large so I wouldn't say it's narrow. I don't really have proper/any friends at all in real life, typical trait of Aspergerians, but I really don't have any. I only have my family and my online internet friends to speak with comfortably really.
Anyway I don't want to make this too long, I'll just keep it at that. They're the basic things to know about me. I may not entirely speak like I have Aspergers you might notice, that's because it is mild. But I still have the dominating trait that is social problems and it doesn't matter how mild or severe Aspergers is in a person; it's always going to be that little bit harder -_-.
Anyway, I hope I get strongly involved in this community and help everyone else here who suffers from Asperger's like I do.
