Has anyone thought about an aspie convention or ice cream social or something like that? I imagine most of us may not be able to afford to travel far. I personally have been west of the Mississippi only once since infancy (St. Louis) and never out of the country.

I like that idea, but I live in Western Canada and I can't travel that far, either.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of us are up over there. Do Americans need a passport to visit Canada?

I think that people from both Countries need a Pasport to cross the Border. Things just aren't the way they used to be. :(

You need a passport to travel between the US and Canadian borber now :x

As far as a get together, I have not seen one work out yet. Between the distance of all of WPs users and the lack of organizational skills in putting something like this together, anything that has been planned has not worked out.

How far I would travel would depend in whether I had time off from work.

I would travel 1000 mi or less.

I live in Poughkeepsie, NY and would love to meet fellow aspies.

I've been looking for support groups. Any feedback for my area would be great. I'm all for it :D

Summer,

I think GRASP has some groups in the New York City area if you can take the commuter train.

No, I wouldn't travel that far, because even before my diagnosis, there were people around me with AS traits!

But it is nice to meet new and different people on the spectrum, I find it quite fascinating.

Somehow this idea appeals to me if it was done in any aspie friendly way lots of places to go off and be by myself at least for alittle while.
