Ok nervous but here

Nervous ? why? because
a) I'm not good at sharing myself/woes
b) it's the first time I admit to anyone I'm not "normal"

I'm female 51 and not formally diagnosed, I've always been different and found social situations difficult, when I was 16/17 I got a book out of the library on Etiquette, because I figured there was something everyone else seemed to understand about social interractions that I didn't, well all these years later and here I am, I've done some online tests including these here and voila !
It's all so new to me, so much to learn.

Anyway enough rambling and self pity.

I figured out the autism thing two days after my 51st birthday. I have Wikipedia to thanks for that :roll: Though I'll have to say it was more like a jaw-dropping, eye-popping flash of insight for me than "figuring out" per se...

Anyway, welcome to the club. You found your way to absolutely the right place. My best wishes for your continuing growth.

PS: I bought an etiquette book ("Miss Manner's Guide to the Turn-of-the Millenium") many years ago for much the same reason.
