Hello, I'm Beqi. My 10 yr old was just diagnosed as Aspergers. It wasn't a surprise. We had been in a clinic for diagnosing ADHD when some Aspergers flags were raised. A few more tests and visits later we now have the diagnosis. I have been reading as many books and websites about it as I can fit into my schedule. I took my son out of public school when he was 7. He was very lost and isolated himself from the other students. The school wanted to hold him back for social reasons. They assured me he would grow out of it. I felt that was a poor excuse to punish him by holding him back. So we have been homeschooling since. He is my only child. I had no idea his quirky behaviors were nothing more than growing kid stuff. I wish I had clued in sooner for his sake. I am glad I found this site. I have so many questions. I have so many worries and a lot of learning to do.
