I first made my introduction of July of last year, but then I abstained from posting because I wasn't sure I belonged here. I have spent time reading posts and learned that I have a lot in common with many Aspies here, but I still don't know if I have Asperger's Syndrome. Since first endeavoring to learn about ASDs, I have been treated by a professional who specializes in counseling person's on the spectrum. However, I have yet to receive the necessary diagnostic exams from the doctor I was subsequently referred to. Not knowing my status definitively, I refused to post here and cause confusion.
However, I realize that many people post here who do not have Asperger's Syndrome. For people posting questions in search of validation or sources of comparison from those on the spectrum, is it not confusing to receive replies from persons whose status is unknown?
I cannot find my introduction, since the search function is not working for me, but the post number is, I believe, 1335373. I may have the wrong url, but I'm not sure if it exists any longer.
