Hi, I'm Geoff. I'm 17 years old, with autism. I've had it all my life. I'm currently in high school in my Junior year. None of my friends from school know I'm autistic.
My interests are: Music, video games, drawing, playing piano, anime and manga, writing, reading, spending time with my family, and spending time with my friends.
As many with autism know, living with it can be a challenge, but if we believe in ourselves then we can make it.
When I heard about this site, I got excited to finally be able to get in touch with people like me, people who have autism. It felt like a great opportunity to make friends and become a part of a community where there's a lot of understanding between everyone, a community where we are all united. I'm happy to have joined this community and hope to make many friends here, as well as work on expressing myself more and working towards letting my friends know I'm autistic. Though, telling them will happen in time, due to the fact that I'm not ready for that yet.
Anyways, I'm glad to be a part of this community, and look forward to meeting new friends here. See everyone on the forums!

welcome to wp, it sounds like you have the right attitude, just keep going sometimes things may get tough but just keep fighting. i think aspergers in many ways is more of a gift than a "condition"

Thank you. And, I agree. I believe that it isn't so much a condition or disorder as it is a gift. I think that in many ways, it teaches us a lot about self understanding.

Thank you, mikeseagle. I'm glad to have such a warm welcome from everyone. I'm quite excited to start forming new friendships within this community. It's going to be fantastic. It feels nice to be in a community where I'm understood and accepted for who I am.
