Any New England Aspies on here? I'm from the Boston area. Also, does anyone know anything about AANE or GRASP? I recently attended a very interesting AANE conference and I am looking to get more involved and possibly attend a social meetup. Any insight would be much appreciated.

hello, I was raised in Boston. Boy do I miss having public transportation. The commuter trains to college were so meditating and gave a good massage with its shaking!

Cool, where did you go to college? I went out of state for school, but I'm currently going to grad school in Boston and frequently take advantage of the public transportation. Gas prices are getting ridiculous.

Quincy College for first two years; then Umass-Boston for Biology undergrad after building confidence. However I got overwhelmed in classrooms at University. In community college, you teachers actually had time for you before/after classes. I only survived calculus I/II because my professor (some nice old russian? lady) tutored me for two hours at a time at Quincy college. My GPA dropped horribly at University; I probably needed more time in community college to fortify good habits.

Cool, I considered going to UMass Amherst, a lot of people from my HS graduating class went there. It's great to have helpful professors who take the extra time to tutor you, I had a similar situation in high school with pre-calculus. For some reason, I had an easier time with college calculus than high school pre-calculus.

A had a lot of friends (around 4 people) in UmassBoston that transferred from UmassAmherst saying it was a very distracting environment. However, that is expected of them to say (by the fact they had to transfer). Still many many people go and stay in UmassAmherst; so its for whoever can handle it.
