It has now been about an hour since I was formally diagnosed with aspergers, a few days since I realized it to be an undeniable truth.

I watched my brother and his wife go through months of denial when their daughter was diagnosed with ASD, for them it was like some unbelievable tragedy.

For me I feel like I have been born anew. Years of pain and self doubt, the failed relationships, the lack of closeness, feeling alone in the middle of a crowd, or even in the heat of passion with a lover, lifted

I am free, and I found home

:D :D :D

Sounds like a pretty healthy reaction to me. Not everyone takes it so well (as you know). Good for you. And congratulations ... I guess? That sounds weird... How 'bout just "Welcome!"

That's fantastic news. I sort of feel similar about the past few months, though it was not due to being diagnosed. I had a lot of self doubt, insecurity and anxiety, but the majority of it has since been erased.
Here's hoping that no more negative feelings head your way.
