Hello.
I joined this forum today for three main reasons;
-I want to find out more about aspergers, and how to live comfortably and happily despite my various limitations.
-I really want to find people who actually understand me as a person, and don't just think I'm a weirdo.
-I have intentions of making some friends, as I don't go out very often and I feel a bit stir crazy at times.
Well, since this is an intro post I suppose I should tell you some things about myself.
I am a 16 year old male who lives in the UK, I have various special interests including (but not limited to) sound waves, quantum mechanics, keyboards and synthesizers, computers, music, electronics, human nature, sci fi literature, oldschool video games and consoles. I have many hobbies; I produce electronic music, I love to write, I play pianos, keyboards, I'm absolutely addicted to trance and techno, now and again I go for 10 - 20 mile walks.
To be completely honest I'm not sure what else I should write, so I'll leave it here.

1. It's good that you realise that having AS isn't necessarily the end of the world. Some don't, and sometimes I don't blame them, but it is possible to have as great a life with AS as any NTs do.
2. We're all weirdos, I doubt you'll be thought as one here

1. It's good that you realise that having AS isn't necessarily the end of the world. Some don't, and sometimes I don't blame them, but it is possible to have as great a life with AS as any NTs do.

Thank you. I've never really seen AS as the end of the world, even though I know it causes me some problems, without it I wouldn't really be the person I am. I'm trying to accept my aspergers now instead of fight against it/being upset about having it; for the last five years of my life I've been ashamed of it, but recently I've matured a little bit and realised that its nothing to be ashamed of really. Right now I'm trying to find out some things about it so I can find ways to adapt myself to the NT world
