Hello folks! I am a 24 year old fellow, diagnosed with Asperger's who loves Old Time Radio, Computer games, and most of all God!
I am currently in college and thriving. Mt current classes are: Medical Terminology and Disease Processes 1, Survey in Economics, Word Processing 2, Student Success skills, as well as Golf 1 and 2. Yes, that may sound strange. An Aspie taking golf. Especially strange considering, when I was officially diagnosed, that I have a physical IQ in the 50s!
You may recall that when I was last on here as "ManfredNissley" that I was a baker. While I was a baker I discovered something interesting. A direct correlation to wheat and Aspie flareups! I quit that job in February of 2010 and moved back dear old Floyd County Virginia!
If you remember I was having terrible problems with my boss/aunt down there. I eventually had to tell her to stop or I would be leaving the business. I basically told her off otherwise as well. She backed off on her insistence that I do everything her way. We went from terrible relationship to a nearly perfect one.
Now back to the allergies. Since I have stayed off wheat for a year, except for a few accidental doses, my mental and physical powers have thrived. I made some other interesting finds. Oats do the same thing as wheat. I also discovered I am very allergic to Soy. But that causes mostly non-Aspie symptoms in me.
My main reason for coming back to this long forgotten site, even though I discovered the beginnings of the partial cure of not eating wheat here, Is to find out information on getting extra student funding for college.
Well, I had better be shoveling off.
