Thanks all for the welcome.
Well, I guess since this is the getting to know each other forum I probably should talk some about myself and my Aspergers.
Umm… where to start, i’m female, and I’m 19 but will be 20 in about a month, and I live in the U.S. I never really had trouble with bullying like a lot of you probably had, mostly because I was home-schooled, I have had a lot of isolation problems and other stuff thou. I used to think a lot of my isolation stuff was because of being home schooled, but that theory never really made since because my brother was home schooled as well, and is a social butterfly.
I’ve tried for a long time to figure out what my problem was, but nothing ever really seemed to fit until Aspergers, which fits my problems almost eerily well. It fells very strange to come to this website and see that you all have a lot of the same odd quirks and eccentricities as me from the big stuff even to the very small stuff like clothing.
Hi, I'm new too, I just came upon this website while researching for my RE project. It's fascinating and really educational reading posts on this. I was diagnosed when I was 12, and was badly bullied when i was younger. But by about grade 9/10 I had managed to make some close friends, and now in y11/12 (I do a 3 year course, I'm 18) I am no longer bullied and I am a part of a friendship group and have a few very close friends. So yeah, thats where im at now. Sorry, i got a bit off topic. I have a tendency to do that.
