Hi. I don't know where to start. This socializing thing seems so difficult to me.

I was diagnosed with AS at the age of 10.
"Diagnosed"... I think this is a wrong word. It makes it sound like AS is a disease...

I like history, especially the medieval and renaissance period. I like it so much that I began playing my own medieval/renaissance-inspired music at the age of 22 (I'm 25 now) when I discovered I could do that.

I can't read or write sheets. I can't even play on a piano.
I don't have an education and have difficulty work, and I often get very lonely.

In other words, I need some community.

I don't know if it would be wrong to say I compose music. I can make music as I "hear" the melodies in my head and "see" the notes as they go up and down. Often they come to me in 2, 3 or even 4 different voices and I get restless until I play and record them. That happened with the 3 (or 4?)-voiced altered melody of Scandinavia's oldest written melody, "drømte mig en drøm i nat" (I dreamt a dream last night) which I decided to place on Youtube around 2008.
Other times I just play around until I think it sounds good.

I don't have an education. That means, I have been in school/high school for aspies but I never got my papers of education. Increasing psychological problems meant I had to quit for long periods of time, where I could only find relief from the pains of anxiety and melancholia in making music.

How do I promote my youtube videos (containing art and music I made myself) without disturbing other people and spamming? I just had a topic removed from another forum (outside wrongplanet) because they regarded my self-promotion as advertising/spam.

I don't want that to happen here too.

So I would just like to know. How do I promote my own art and music, and am I allowed to do it on Wrongplanet?

Well I've never done it myself, you can always drop the link in this thread, there shouldn't be a problem.
I'd have thought that the Art, Writing and Music forum would be lenient with such things too, but I don't know.

Though if I were you I'd contact a moderator, just to be sure.
