Hey, my daughter wants to post here, but she feels uncomfortable doing so. She is new to forums (but a pro at Facebook) in general and is afraid she is going to make a posting blunder (like posting something against the rules - even though she read all the rules). I can understand that fear. I told her I would introduce her. :)

Anyway, she is NaturalFireWave. She will reply on here when she is ready.

Hi. I enjoy music, especially jazz. I play the trumpet. As a freshmen I made 2nd chair in the 2nd band. I am going to be in 10th grade. I don't know what to say.

I've found the moderators to be very lenient and likely to give people the benefit of the doubt that they didn't intend to break the rules when they did.

It may feel uncomfortable to begin with. I only posted 14 times in almost a year and a half!

I've said just what I think here for years now and noone's ever objected. Sometimes they just ignore me, but that's OK.

I often don't know what to say. I often trawl through the posts and find many interesting topics that have helped me understand myself better. I have made a few posts now and not yet managed to break the rules. Just go with the flow when you're ready.

Thanks everyone. :) I told her she has responses, and she said the only reason she did not read them is because she couldn't access the internet while in my class today. I am sure she will be on shortly.

@Brainfe3ze_93: I assume you are talking about my avatar (seeing that you have an Animaniacs one)? I simply LOVE Freakazoid. The Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Pinky and the Brain, and all that were a staple for me when they were on. Loved them. Still do. :)

Hi and welcome to both of you.
I've found WP to be a very tolerant community compared to some other sites.The fact that it's so large means there's nearly always going to be a topic discussed that you feel you can contribute to. If your daughter feels uncomfortable,it may help to ease into the site to start with by posting on some of the more straightforward threads that ask a simple question like "What did you have for breakfast" ? :)
