New to this site, happy to have found it. My 11 year old son was just diagnosed with Aspergers and in turn by learning about ASD I realized I HAVE it also. When I was 11 there was no such diagnosis, however looking back it was a living hell most of the time, especially school. Im now a 42 year old mother of 3 and still have some aspie traits but NOT as I did as a kid. In retrospect I think I mimicked other peoples behavior and learned how to "act normal" (is there even such a thing?) Anyhow...happy to be here and can't believe Ive lived 42 years feeling like I was odd and NEVER knew it was ASD!

I empathize! I discovered my involvement by accident while working on a lesson plan. This discovery validates my feelings of being "odd", and that's a relief, assuming that's what it is! Anyway, nice to meet you!
