Hello everyone,

I've just joined Wrong Planet so thought Ｉ　would get started by introducing myself. I'm 29 years old, and was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome in February this year. I'm learning about AS by reading books and have also heard that WP is a great resource, so here I am! I'm an introverted person and am interested in reading, chess and hiking.

Hi,
My husband was diagnosed ADD, but has recently fallen across Wrong Planet and Aspergers is a much closer description of his social skills. It was an Ahha moment when we read this site. Any good suggestions on where to start helping him with this?

Let me chime in with a warm welcome. I was recently diagnosed, last December to be exact. And have three books on the subject...basically done with two of them. Invaluable to say the least. Looks like this site might be the same. Hope it is for you too.

I am 33 and I live in Cambridge, got AS diagnosis some months ago.
I am a Sanskrit scholar and me too I love very much hiking, chess and reading.
And also maths, my bike, and to play piano..
I am reading quite a lot about Asperger and I find this website very helpful

Sraddha, that's cool that you study Sanskrit, I also find language very interesting and am studying Mandarin at university.

The books from Attwood are great.

Reading and hiking are good things to be interested in (according to me). Unfortunately I do not find enough time to be hiking.
