Hello,

I have been recently diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome. My cousin, who's a resident physician, initially told me that I likely have this problem, then I received a formal diagnosis afterwards. Unfortunately, this problem has hindered my success in life. I had very high expectations of myself because of my exceptional academic performance during school and college, which I attended with a full academic scholarship. I was also able to secure a highly coveted internship position at the White House, while an undergrad. Afterwards however, over the last 12 years, I haven't accomplished much of anything. I was fired for virtually every job I was hired for and have been very discouraged.

Having a failed marriage only made matters worse. I have been struggling to make ends meet and I desperately hope that I'm one day able to to find a niche in this world, where I can potentially thrive. My cousin had encouraged me to join a message board and/or support group, so that I could discuss my issues with others who have similar issues. Anyways, I hope to gain from interactions on this message board..

Welcome. I have a failed marriage behind me, too. I have been married for a year + a day with my current wife, and I am happy now.
