Hello I am new here and just recently joined a few days ago. I probably won't post much in the beginning because I am shy, so will be mostly lurking. My husband introduced me to this site in hope to find answers why I take things serious and literal all the time. He thinks I could possibly have Asperger's syndrome and I wonder if that explains why many always say I am socially backwards, I am rude, ignorant, and arrogant. I hope this helps me out and helps out my relationship with my husband.

Hi, I am 33 y.o. from Uk
I have Asperger's, diagnosed some months ago.
I take serious and literally things, quite often. But I can joke, and I have a good sense of humour.
Now I am learning how to be aware about this mechanism, and to recognize it, how to deal with my emotions when I have strong reaction because of literal interpretation.
I am still on the path, but I just want to say you it is possible to have more light and better understanding about it.
And this website is very helpful, with sharing experience.
