Hmmm....let me break this down, because my doctor and parents and I agree I'm a textbook Aspie(seriously, I match the symptoms line for line)
So I'd probably be a good one to go off of.
I don't live in a group home, but thats because I've shown I can live by myself fine, just gotta save up the money to get in one(I'm 23 and in college trying to earn my Associates in Computer Sciences, plus working 2 jobs....so yeah)
Also, no offense to anyone who lives in them, but my parents think group homes are trashy(and the ones we've seen around our area are(although our area is half rich folk and half white trash central))
I only ever went to a hospital for my diagnosis and check ups, and to get medicine refills, which I don't even take anymore(they make me feel groggy and my new adult doctor can't seem to find one without those effects)
I love Dora and Arthur as well, although moreso Arthur, and thats probably because without my 3DS and Netflix I'm stuck watching them with my younger siblings.
I love toys too....you should see my collection of anime and cartoon action figures...=S
Don't like to pace around so much, but then again I jog most of my walking obsession out of myself in the morning with my parent's basset hound or with my 2 little Schitzu's(chicks dig them ^-^) and then play video games on my days off.
My schedule is pretty strict too, but I'm learning to work with it(in college you have to)
I can do high levels of math, and add and subtract in my head, so there we're different.
Next....I don't bite things, but I do like to have my hands constantly doing something, so when I'm not writing, drawing, coloring or gaming, I usually do woodwork or welding(I have a forge, so I make swords sometimes =D) or something where I can work with my hands.
I LOVE puzzles as well. I'll spend hours working on them. I don't even care what they depict, as long they are a puzzle(preferably the cardboard ones)
I also hate loud noise. It used to scare the crap out of me, but now it doesn't and instead just pisses me off.
For the record, from what I've seen of what you've described, you definately have autism of some type, so if your doctor continues to insist you don't, tell him to go screw off and get yourself to another doctor, and QUICK. The faster you are diagnosed the faster you can get help and possibly receive benefits.
