Would it be possible to talk about books in Art, Writing, and Music? Or would it be off topic there?

If I'm not sure about a non-personal thread I usually put it in random discussion but that's just me.

Basically, I'm being given a Kindle and a Nook(both the newest versions) one from each set of grandparents on my real dad's side of the family.

I'm looking for suggestions as to what is essential downloads for each for every Kindle/Nook owner, and then books that fit my somewhat odd preferences.

Slaughterhouse-Five is a good book if you haven't read it. Kurt Vonnegut. Don't be put off by the title , it's nothing to do with meat or stuff like that.

When I'm looking for a book, I head over to

http://www.amazon.com

and type a word in their search box. Most of them let you read a few pages so you can see if you like it.
