Newbie with aspie son

Hello....... i'm a mother of 5, with my oldest who is 10 only recently having aspergers confirmed.
I have always 'known' something was a miss with him but after taking him to CAMHS at 2 and being given ADHD as a diagnoses which i knew it wasnt , i had just got on with our lifes and made little changes to make his life easier......... by the time he reached 9 i took him back to CAMHS as i found he was beginning to struggle with him self........ he was writing he wanted to die, hated himself...... and would express that he 'felt' different and didnt understand y he would get so angry over things.
He is an amazing reader ( last school test he came out as reading age 16+) has a thirst for knowledge of history and is above average when it comes to maths ........

since his diagnoses nothing in family life has changed BUT he now understands more........ he is able to explain why he feels/reacted in such a way..... it has given him an understanding of himself

any way, was searching for symbols for aspergers ( wanting a tattoo ) when i came across this site and thought it would be good to have some way to chat to others going thou the same or have already been thou it

There aren't any symbols for Asperger's - there are some for autism, though. There is the 'puzzle' logo but this is used by curebies and is therefore very controversial - i.e. largely seen as extremely negative - by autistics/Aspies themselves.
