Hi I'm Sakura89 and I was just recently diagnosed with aspergers last week. I'm 21 years old and I always felt different from everyone...including my family. My family always knew there was something wrong, but now that I'm diagnosed, they seem to take it more serious. I have all of the characteristics of AS and I want to talk to other people like myself so that I don't feel so alone.

Welcome Sakura; I'm 43 and was diagnosed in April of this year. I wish I'd have known when I was 21 it would have made things a little easier because I wouldn't have felt so alone. There is nothing wrong with you (I assume so since your message is coherent and intelligent) you're just different which is OK. No one normal ever changed the world. Use your gifts to help you and others and work around the other things Never accept your diagnosis as a disability; instead look at the constraints you're living with and find ways to work around them.
