I lived in the Northwest (both in Portland and Seattle, at different times) for pretty much my whole life, I moved away though like a month ago.

It seems like there are a bunch of people from the Northwest on here, they're around...

Bottom end of the state from you. Even my son with AS in Kirkland is far from you. Sorry.

I live in Spokane. There are quite a few people in this area, I believe, although resources tend to be lacking for us. ;)

I live on Bainbridge, and run an Asperger's social club in Seattle, the link is in my signature. Local resources are still pretty slim, but little by little we're starting to get somewhere. There used to be a meetup in Tacoma as well, but I think they moved to Kent, so I think you're pretty much stuck on a ferry if you want to meet many other local Aspies.

Next time you're heading to Vancouver, let me know. I'd love to visit your family and you.

ah, k. seattle seems more convenient anyhow. don't need a car to get there.

"Resources" would be access to a good, affordable professional who can appropriately diagnose, support groups, stuff like that. There are a few support groups, which I can't take advantage of because I don't have child care for my grandchildren when they meet. (I help my son and daughter in law with their children as they work swings and their oldest has classic autism.)
