So, I just joined this site, and it looks to be full of fascinating information and people :D

A bit about me: I'm a student at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. Um... I live at home still, I like music, and inventing languages. I like books. I really, really like books (by which I mean fantasy/sci-fi/mystery/children's books... can't read "literature"). I'm Christian. I have two cats... and blue eyes... that's probably enough for now?

I've not been diagnosed with Asperger's, yet... when I was little, and was taken to the doctor because I exhibited the symptoms, my mother was told "It's a boy thing, she's just shy and gifted, the obsessions and the meltdowns are a phase." But I'm in my twenties now, ill from stress, and it's clear I have something, I just didn't know what until I did some research into different mental/emotional/etc. "disorders" and came upon discussions of Asperger's Syndrome. After reading symptoms lists, reading people's real-life stories and descriptions, and talking to my mother and other family members who've known me since I was a small child, I think it's safe to say this is it. However, as it takes six months to get an evaluation (and I'm still waiting to reschedule a therapist's appointment as it is), I may not get seen and diagnosed until Christmas break at the earliest.

So, yeah... say hello to me. Or something. I might comment on some discussion topics or something. Bye.

Hi!
I saw you post in the Random thread I think.
What type of Christian are you (denomination?)
Nice to meet you anyways, hope you enjoy WP.
Avoid PPR though, they hate christians there.
Have a good day! :D

Haha yes. I figured they would, haven't looked too closely there.

As to your question, that's difficult to answer... I've been attending services at Presbyterian and Anglican (this was in Belfast) churches. I was a vague Atheist-turned-Theist two years ago, raised by Atheists in a Unitarian Universalist church, who in turn come from a completely Catholic family. So I've picked up rather a hodge-podge set of beliefs and practices :)

Are you Christian? Were you raised Christian?

Six months for an evaluation? Wow, that is a long time. Oh, Welcome to WrongPlanet! I'm a fellow Virginian who attends a Untarian-Universalist church here. I think that you are going to like it here...I am beginning to.
