Hi there!

I am a 47 year old Aspie [Confirmed Diagnosis in 2009], as is my 18 year old son.

I like art and I am a self-taught Asperger's Artist. I think WrongPlanet is a wonderful resource for everyone and would like to add my support to all on the list.

I failed at High School in Australia and only went back to university at age 30. Many of us will relate to the negative attitudes found in the schooling system from both teacher's and fellow students. Do not let this stand in your way.

I often say I am unemployable, I can not work for other [NT] people., and seek self-employment opportunities, where I can.
I am a distinct person and we are a distinct people [ASD] across the Global Village.
I do not see so much difference in society, and so I am not sexist nor racist, I believe in the possibility of world peace. What have, "NT leaders" done to our planet and our humanity? They suffer from short sightedness, and a lack of basic long term logic.
We can offer the world new views of experience and make a difference knowing that culture and society are constructs only, created from the limited nature of dominant views.

Neuro-diversity is a gift, it is part of the intrinsic human potential which is only now being appreciated.

Hello there Art-sung and welcome to wrong planet I'm also a artist, soon graduating with a B.A of Fine Arts. My major work is based on human behaviour, especially mental illnesses. I think neuro-diversity provides variety and originality, I can safely say that my artworks are different compared to the rest of my class mates. As one person put it "I have never seen someone think in that way before". This is a good thing. Are you a full time artist Art-sung?
