Am I an "Aspie"?

Hello, I found this web page after doing some research on aspergers syndrome, after someone claimed they thought I had it.
I have never been tested. My Question: Do you think I have it?

I am 14, ever since I can remember I have never liked people being close to me. I do not enjoy being around people, and do not like it when people touch me. I am often called socially awkward by people, and do not enjoy conversing with people. I feel distressed by loud noises and people being in close proximity of me. I enjoy finding patterns in things and will notice them quickly. Often people will say things such as "Well this is an awkward convocation", and I am left wondering why. I often find my self in trouble for unintentionally causing offense to people. I am called a "nerd" by most people.
I enjoy Maths and Science and am in the top set for both of these subjects. I excel academically. I enjoy games which require mental stimulation, and I often get frustrated at people who don't understand things. I am terrible at explaining things, as I often confuse them further by going into too much detail, for example today I was told off by my science teacher because I was trying to explain Nuclear Medicine to a girl in my class and ended up confusing her when I got to Iodine 131.
I have a unofficial IQ of 145.

My Mum and Dad don't think I have it because they think all "Aspies" are mathematically genius.

Welcome to WP, it seems as though you feel you have AS, if it feels right it probably is, I think that is a much better indication than the opinion of us readers :) although what you explained would indicate AS for sure, there are a list of tests here http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt113459.html have you tried any?

By what you've written, it sounds like it's certainly possible, but of course this is an internet forum and we can't diagnose you, unfortunately!
We're not all maths geniuses, that is a stereotype, but like all stereotypes, it isn't that accurate from what I've seen. I'm not a big fan of maths myself...
