Hey there,
I am Isaac, I am 14, and I have Asperger's Syndrome. Truthfully, I do not believe Asperger's Syndrome exists, it's just how God made us.

I am a large fan of music. My fav genres are Folk Metal, Soft Rock/Contemporary Christian, and Rap.
However, I like all music (an AS obsession) so let's talk about some music later on XD

I have serious problems with bullies and they say "Why don't you try to be normal?" My response: normal is BS... God makes us the way we are..
My bro also has it be he says "I don't accept it, I try to fight it". Well I accept it because it's the way God made me

I am also a gamer-kinda guy, through the course of 5 years I have designed around 15 games, and I love Garry's Mod, Minecraft, Terraria, and horror games are my fav. Amnesia: the Dark Descent and the Penumbra games are some of my fav. I am currently working on a game called "Schizophrenia" in which this guy named John wakes up in a deserted, demonic insane asylum... haha.

In the past I designed a game series called "Steve the Detective". I used to play the Nancy Drew series alot (I have finished games 1 - 5, 7 - 8, 11, 13 - 17, and 19 - 20) which is what inspired the STD games (TWSS) but I don't play the ND games much anymore. Games that challenge the mind are very much worth playing which is why I like Penumbra and Amnesia so much haha. I made 5 games, and was working on the 6th when my old hard drive crashed and I couldn't access the files. However, yesterday i found out how to reclaim those files and I'm now fixing some glitches.

I also worked on a game series called "Doom Worlds" where this kid wakes up with a pistol in.. er i forget where he was but it was a legit place in the US. That game was released, but is no longer available because the upload site I put it on crashed. I may revive the game sometime, but IDK. I was working on a sequel (Return to Doom Worlds) until my old hard drive crashed.

I have worked on a game called "3164". It's a horror zombie game XD. It is available for download, if you can find it. I believe that is the only game I made that is currently available. However, I had to reinstall windows last year which caused me to loose it. I had made 3 instances of the demo, and the current version is v.03. I may make a part 2.

For music, I am in a Christian death metal band called "Wolfbreed". Our previous names were New Tomorrow, Cryptic Caverns, and Lamented Chains. I was in our guitarist and drummer's band (Rabid Rat Rebellion) as a vocalist, but never really did anything for them. They were active from 2005 - 2010, and after the breakup I formed Wolfbreed (New Tomorrow at the time) with the guitarist. His brother (the drummer) joined in later. We formed in October of 2010, we have released 1 demo, and 1 rehearsal cassette. We are currently working on a demo CD. That should be out sometime this year or next year.

Problems I have with Asperger's syndrome:

I find typing, whistling, (most) bathroom fans, and piano's extremely annoying.
I act freaking weird. Yet there is no normal, so how can there be weird?
I used to be real stressed out and angry as Satan before I hit puberty, but
I am little less angry now.

Well I hope I can find some fellow aspies here. DD

I'm also a "gamer-type person", heh. it's really refreshing to read all of that, because I dabbled in game design in my younger years, but I never amounted to much. You have no idea how much time I spent tinkering around in Gmod. It really appealed to my mindset because I always found myself getting bored of playing games the way you are supposed to. I always tried(and more often than not succeeded) to do things you aren't supposed to in games.

I love games like minecraft, terraria, and spore(though it saddened me how much the game was dumbed down over the years of creation)

I've always regretted not getting into the game design business, because I hate how generic and commercialized video games are. it's so hard to find a new concept, and that's always been so very frustrating..

But now indie developers like yourself are springing up like wildfire, and the world is starting to catch up with all of the ideas I always had throughout the years. So I welcome you not only to the forum, but to the world, with a hearty salute!

Never give up on that creative spark, Isaac.

Makayla and Cruz are the only ones who had anything useful to say. Saying welcome doesn't really mean crap nowadays, it could mean you're not welcome so f you for all I know.

Welp, I get real defensive when I smell something suspicious going on. I have had so much BS from bullies in the past I have no idea what's going on. I do not mean to offend anyone or give off a negative impression.

Welcome! It's difficult to judge subtleties with only text to go by - I see it as sort of the way people like us interact in spoken conversation, without a lot of the nonverbal cues to go with it. I'm also suspicious of people myself due to a lot of bullying problems (bullying just doesn't even begin to describe how bad it was) but I would trust that most of us have had a lot of the same problems and are therefore a lot more understanding and accepting than the average "NT".

I also love games, so much that I have to be careful that they don't suck me in and cause problems! I've coded a couple myself, but they're long gone by now. Right now I'm dying to get into the new Civilization game. I'll have to look into Penumbra. I don't think I've ever heard of it. Good luck with the band and game design!
