Yo, I'm a 24-year old in the UK and I was diagnosed with ASD Level 1 (formerly Aspergers) when I was 19. I'm finding masking quite exhausting recently so I'm trying to connect more with the autistic community, and perhaps make some friends.

Other stuff, I'm a software developer, I'm pretty obssessed with plants (especially wild plants and mushrooms). I also like board games, gaming, D&D, cooking, permaculture and mindfulness. I find listening to music is a big part of my life, I really like rock, but I also like electronic, soundtracks, jazz, and some rap/pop bits.

Looking forward to being here :)

Welcome to WP! I'm relatively new here, too, but the locals seem nice to me. ahh...I mean I'm relatively new to WP, I've been on Earth a bit longer.

And, like any good Aspie, I have "special interests". You mentioned electronic music...does that extend to ambient/space music? :silent:

Hello
I am from the UK too! (Jersey, channel islands).

am really into music, like you, pretty much covering all genres.

I am into recording music, and am about to get back into recording projects,
after a few years not bothering.

Music genre's planning to work on: reggae/reggae dub/classic or mod rock style/ of my own....
metal / ballads of a friends music

jazz fusion and funk with a different friend

kind of lonely place being an Aspie in the UK, not really much organised socialising. :-(

nice picture of the ouroboros - snake eating itself, symbolises rebirth, circle of life
and was used by an early Christian sect at one point (even thought to have originated in Egypt).

Hello there. :) I like the ouroboros avatar.

I'm also a former AS, now lvl 1. I got diagnosed at age 18, that was the year the states dropped it as a separate diagnosis with the publishing of the DSM-5. There are several people here with an affinities for a wide variety of musical genres.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

Many Aspies experience significantly more stress than average individuals. And this stress can build up and produce distress in humans (such as self harm). Snakes experience stress also. And this stress can cause a snake to eat its own tail.

Possibly the most common reason why a snake would eat its tail is stress and agitation [anxiety]. This is most likely if the snake is living in captivity.

Snakes are easily stressed. They like to live a certain way and need a habitat that meets their needs. A snake uncomfortable with the temperature and humidity, for example, will quickly become unhappy. This stress can turn to disorientation, and a snake may eat its tail in such a circumstance. Other things that could cause stress for a snake include:

* A terrarium that is too small or large
* An erratic or inappropriate feeding schedule
* The substrate does not feel organic or natural
* An insufficient alternation between light and darkness
* Excessive handling or handling at the wrong times

A captive snake that you cannot see is usually a contented snake. Most reptiles would rather hide and burrow than expose themselves to humans and the threat of predation.
