Hi there, im Angelo and I just realized I have aspergers! Self diagnosis though, but no doubt about it after watching clips on youtube. Its such a relief to finally know what my malfunction is! All my life I knew I was different, but I did not know how. Im depressed to understand this now though."why me?" Is what I keep asking myself. I hate not being able to develope close relationships and make true friends. I've been thinking about this so im just going to ask on here. What is a relationship between two aspies like? Do we get along better between us than with "normal" people?

Hello mysterylife and welcome
I have recently come out of a 6 year on and off relationship.
Only over the last couple of years I have come to realise that I have Asperger's.
I also came to think that the guy I was seeing had it too (he agrees with this).
We did have a very strong bond - I think probably because of us both having Asperger's - old fashioned values and the like.
But on the other hand having difficulty being with others (2 fold) was a great strain on the relationship and having broken many times - in the end we had to let go.
I don't want to give up hope yet. I want to have a relationship that can stand the test of time.
Despite the difficulties I think I would maybe prefare an Aspie to an NT.
